“Olde New Orleans” Regular $ 1695.00 Our Price $ 1400.00 delivered |
Shave Ice? Snow
Balls? Sno-Kones®!! “Olde New Orleans" means extra finely shaved snow! They call them “Snow Balls” down in the Crescent City. Ice this fine is called Shave Ice every place else. Serve it in a Sno-Kone cup and call it either a Snowball or a Sno-Kone. Serve it in a “Shave Ice” cup illustrated below and you can sell it for at least $1.00 more. Shown at left is the improved Gold Medal #1087 “Olde New Orleans” Block Ice Shaver. This, plus the #1047 shown on page 41, are the two most powerful ice shavers in the world. Both feature a 3/4 HP motor. In the #1087, a “V Belt” pulley reduces the motor speed down to about 350 RPM. The large three-blade shaver head planes snow off of the larger block and delivers it from the chute at the lower right-hand corner of the body, either directly into the cup or into the catch basin furnished with the machine. The Model #1008 Foot Switch is a very handy addition. To operate the #1087, put a 6 to 12 lb. block of clear ice into the ice block compartment. If you freeze your own, you’ll get better ice. “Compressed Block ice” does not work nearly so well. Always tighten the pressure on the block as you use the pressure plate that is forced downward as you turn the wheel on the top of the ice block compartment. The front door has a “safety switch” to protect you, the operator, until the cast aluminum door is safely locked in the closed position! The heavy-duty lever on the left-hand side allows the operator to ratchet the handle to apply pressure. The more pressure, the courser the ice – light pressure provides a finer snow. As the snow is planed off of the ice block surface, it is ejected through the chute, either into the cup or into the receiving pan. The Model #1087 is shipped complete with the catch basin and the 8 oz. Sno-Kone Dipper– the right size for producing a #1407 Hawaii’s Finest Shave Ice Cup full of snow. The procedure is simple – shave a large pile of “Olde New Orleans” style snow into the catch basin and dip into the Shave Ice cups. Order the containers shown below, plus the Point Of Purchase material and start enjoying Shave Ice profits from the “Olde New Orleans” Block Ice Shaver. #1087DC 24 Volt model available.
